Every boiler installation in the Lower Mainland starts with a proper heat-load calculation. We don't guess at sizing — we use Manual J methodology or the equivalent EN 12831 calculation for commercial jobs. An oversized boiler short-cycles, corodes prematurely, and costs you money every month. An undersized one can't keep up on the coldest January nights. We get it right from the start.

For equipment, we work with condensing, high-efficiency gas boilers from manufacturers that have proven themselves in BC's climate: Navien NCB and NFB series, IBC Technologies SL-Series (a Canadian manufacturer), Viessmann Vitodens, Bosch Greenstar, and Burnham Alpine. All units we install meet or exceed BC's energy efficiency requirements and carry CSA and ULC listings appropriate for Canadian installations.

Piping is done in copper or cross-linked polyethylene (PEX-A) depending on the application. For hydronic radiant systems, we use Uponor AquaPEX with expansion fittings — no clamp connections in the slab. Manifolds are installed in accessible locations, clearly labelled, and set with individual flow meters for each zone so balancing is precise and permanent.

Every installation includes a properly sized expansion vessel, backflow preventer, pressure relief valve, air separator, and fill valve — the components that BC plumbing code requires and that make a system last. We test to 1.5× working pressure before we leave, fill out the Tech Data Sheet for the unit, and register the warranty on your behalf.

Flue systems for condensing boilers use AL29-4C stainless or CPVC Schedule 40 PVC terminated per manufacturer specs and BC code. We don't improvise on venting — improper flue design is the single biggest cause of early heat exchanger failures on condensing units.
